Wow! Philippines just took it to the team from Texas 7-0. Watch out for the Philippines pitcher Royeval Palma!!! That kid was awesome in the circle throwing 15K's. Pitch Distribution was something like 80 pitches 70 Strikes and 10 Balls.

It was an impressive pitching performance but LL is low level rec league filled with all-star players that wouldn't make it on a high-level travel ball team. Their pitcher just turned 17 and the other teams batters were ages 13-16 (i.e. she is a big fish in a small sea).

She did pitch really good. I'm surprised by the 3rd inning the Texas team didn't adjust because you knew she was going to throw a strike, jump on that first pitch. It wasn't mentioned but that RF for Texas allowed so many extra bases by not hitting the cut, or throwing it over everyone's head.. I felt for the Texas pitcher's.

Or try to lay down some bunts?? If you are not getting it done by swinging away after 4 or 5 innings, try something different. Not good coaching IMO.

She did well, but one thing I noticed is that both team's pitchers seemed to start with one foot clearly behind the rubber and/or stepped back. Are the LL pitching rules different?

I gotta give it to Little League organizers to get the games televised on ESPN. That's awesome... but, yeah, the level of play seemed to be noticeably below PGF, etc.

Yes, they are different and what they were doing is legal in LL.
