Are shorts still part of the required uniform for international play? Up until recently I know they were.

I have some lots of teams with stirrups.
I don't know much about the international rules but I don't think so. Team USA was wearing pants against Chinese Taipei yesterday when K Ricketts threw a shutout for the win.

No, they changed that rule. Teams can now wear pants

The girls love wearing shorts!! Just pull up the slider and it’s just like pants
I think about a year now or so.... been recent
Ohhhhh I didn’t realise they’d changed rules and they HAD to wear shorts in international. Glad they gave them the choice.
I’m old enough that I started playing in pants, shorts came in as a teenager (and I desperatly wanted shorts) and now I’m leaning towards pants again.
Seeing the players all go back to pants at the world champs has been lovely. They look much sharper and more professional. And for a sport with women that aren’t very thin, shorts are unforgiving. I LOOOOOOVE the Australian uniforms.
And honestly there not a massive difference with shorts and pants heat wise. You have your socks up for shorten. You have two layers. And you get an awful tan.
