My dd always wants to be challenged we experienced your situation she got 1 pool game per tournament For 1st year. We were playing up. She was youngest player on the team and trying very hard to get better than older pitchers. 1 by 1 she passed them up. Can’t imagine staying down striking out 9 yo when can play up striking out 13yo. I think different team probably better option. Try to find a team where the coaches kid is not the pitcher. If there is no challenge there is no growth.
