The small power cord on our league's old (10-15 years old) Jugs Jr. pitching machine needed to be replaced. We bought a new plug, wire connectors and cut off an end of a spare power cord. We made sure to connect the replacement cord the same way as the original - black wire to the fuse, white wire to a connector on the circuit board and the green wire to a screw for ground. The machine powers up just fine, except that the wheel now spins backwards. The wires in the new plug are correctly connected - black wire on the gold terminal, white wire to the silver terminal and the green to the terminal for the ground plug. We even tried switching the black and white wires, but the result was the same.
Any ideas as to why the wheel is spinning backwards?
