I agree, but you are still squarely on #5. I have had that happen with my own players including my DD. But the college coaches still have no idea who you are and you are relying on the college coach to make first contact. Sometimes you get lucky, but it is better to make it happen yourself.
I agree but it is easier to get the coaches you have talked to and communicated with to see you when they are already attending an event. I don't see any coach saying to themselves "I think I will go to this tourney because Suzy emailed me her schedule". I do think they are much more inclined to think "I will swing by this field and check this team out since I am at the park watching Suzy play anyway." I think it was more true for us through 14's and helped build interest in some of our girls. Some by coming to see them specifically due to emails and camps and others by accident because they were watching someone on the other team. I have had coaches from schools outside of ones our girls are even looking at contact me for our schedule after seeing us play other teams or accidentally seeing us.
It is definitely true though that communicating with coaches and going to camps is your best bet of getting them to watch you period unless you play for maybe 10 organizations in the country they flock to anyway.
