We went to the Scheels store near the fields for a couple hours. Kind of a cross between Cabelas and Dick's. Our hotel was a 40 minute drive most days to the field.

Ive had coaches like that. I know the old don't hit the pool and get tired philosophy. But I think the pool is good for the kids, cools them down and they actually feel better. Kind of sucks when team gets a hotel with nice pool but you cant use it. Kind of silly.

The problem with the beach is kids go there and get sunburned and wonder why they don't perform as well the next couple days. Has happened every year. Do the beach after PGF.......

Last week, at the TCS World Series in San Diego, the girls spent an afternoon and evening in the pool and playing cornhole. A couple of days later, they had an evening go-kart session right after the last game of the day (most of the girls were still in their jerseys). They played great, and finished much better than anyone would have anticipated going into the tournament. Years from now, game scores will fade from memory, but their fun times together will endure.

DD's coach is like that. They act like they are doing laps in an olympic sized pool. I used to be at the park playing baseball/basketball all day and then go to my Legion games at night. As long as I had a couple of hours off and got something to eat I was fine. It doesn't take a pre-teen/teen very long to get re-charged. Now if I were to do that now I would need a stretcher to get back and forth from SS...

I can tell you from Ohio that the PGF Rep (corrupt as I believe, and many others in the state) has managed to ruin PGF in the entire state, Since that has happened, he has now, somehow, ensconced his DD in the USSSA state President position. This year, she has managed to F it up royally as well even though '"Daddy" has pushed all of the "top" PGF teams her way. Keep it up A-holes. The only thing left in our state will be ASA/USA and a non-existent NSA org.

All the associations first goal...is making money. Anybody will say they disagree...of course they will, they have to say they care
more about players/game or they lose players/teams...which hurts the pocket.

Now there are some individual directors that really do care about the game. I know a bunch in slowpitch and problem is...the association cares less than they do. I know USSSA
is all about the money, and I joke about it all the time with the peeps I know. And all they say is, "we try our best to do what we can do...the rest is out of our control".

Put it this way...worlds for USSSA slowpitch. USSSA made a rule that any teams playing in worlds, had to make flight and hotel accomodations thru approved travel orgs and hotels...haha.
Gee, wonder why...$$$$. They built a new complex, so now players have to pay for it. Wasn't for the love of the game :)

I know they were having a meeting about this, because there was quite an uproar over this because a lot of teams did huge houses down there because its cheaper than hotels...and you
can cook food and save money that way as well.

We enjoyed the USSSA tournaments we have played in Ohio. The person you are speaking of was knowledgeable, communicated well with teams, and was always at the fields to help and answer questions. You seem to have a personal grudge because she was nothing but fantastic this year when we had dealings with her. We will continue to play USSSA tournaments especially if she is involved.
