Normally it is at a good price point.

Previous post not sure how much sticks but DD likes the competition and seeing other players.

(DD has been to a few, no one has asked us for our contact information. :))

DD's HC (10U) loves these stupid camps, puts his kids in at least 1 a month. First time he mentioned a camp to me, I told him my opinion and then offered up that maybe
it would better if there was camps for coaches..not sure how he took that

We just finished another Nike camp, and DD has hitting and pitching lessons nearly every week. The coaches at the camp (college players) remembered her from last year and all of them were impressed with how much she improved in a year. That improvement came mostly from the lessons, but the confidence she gains when she goes to these camps is significant. If you have to choose one, the lessons will deliver more. But think of the camp as a supplement, they do learn a lot about the mental game from the camps (specifically, talking to college players and former college players), and the camps give them a chance to learn and try new positions in a different environment, away from the eyes of a coach, try a new technique that might work better for them, or just hear a different voice instill the lesson they struggle with. The social aspect of the camps is also excellent, she traded phone numbers with a lot of other girls, and she had a great time for a few days. And don't forget, when she is at camp, YOU get a break from the daily grind of driving her to practice and lessons.

Addendum: I've watched her since she returned from camp, walking around and practicing her pitching. We threw a little tonight in the back yard as well. Her kick and leg drive look better than ever, and I asked her if she picked up something at camp. She told me one of the college pitchers taught her that her leg drive isn't a real kick, it should go up, then out. It probably isn't all that different than what she was taught by her pitching coach, but what she heard made sense to her and she understood it better. So, score one for the camps, it is good for them to hear something from a different source every now and then.
