Went to a team camp when Mickey was the HC of James Madison, actually he and his AC came down here to our facility. To this day with all the college camps, invite camps, Elite 80 & 60 showcase camps, that Saturday with Mickey Dean and his AC was the best, most memorable, and probably the most productive camp Anna has ever been to!!
Don't get me wrong, this man has NO filter and he came across as a huge jerk right from the very start.......but the more he spoke, the more he made sense, and the more I liked him! I still remember a quote that he said more than several times...."pitchers don't win games, pitchers lose games!" That didn't go over very well with the 5 or 6 pitchers that were there.
It's the only time I've ever been around a D1 coach who did this, he stopped the camp with around an hour or so before the camp was over, he told all the girls to go to the bleacher and have a seat, he dumped a bucket of balls out, turned it upside down, had a seat and said...."alright girls, you've got a D1 coach sitting in front of you, ask me any questions you want, nothings off limit!" He was brutally honest about being a softball player, being a student athlete, learning to be responsible and learning to become an adult, and he let them have it hard and loud!
I'll never forget that day, I definitely became a fan. He then extended the camp and worked for over an hour with the pitchers alone just on front side resistance.

If this was a one-time event I’d agree. Unfortunately for her she’s been in the press several times for boorish behavior and her family has become notorious in softball circles. They’ve played the victim card so many times that something like this provides great water cooler conversation.
The Fagan name just keeps popping up.....
When s*&^ keeps happening all around you and you are the only common denominator in all those situations, it's time to take a good, hard look in the mirror...

Good point and agree. Seems to follow them around. Personally, I hate to see it happening and this girl has gone off the rails. I remember being so impressed with her play over the years and then one thing after another has happened. Really hope she can get it together but that would be up to her and she clearly hasn't made the decision to pull herself out.
Saw the mugshot and booking. She weight 200 pounds now!!!! I know she is pregnant and all but that seems a little extreme based on where she was just a year ago...... Truely hope the kid can get it back under control and turn her life around.

I don’t see her weight as an issue. Pregnancy aside she’s 5’10” so 200 lbs is probably about 10-15% above her playing weight. I’m not a dietician or anything, but that sounds about normal. I’d love to get down to 15% or even 30% above my playing weight!
Everything else about her is a complete trainwreck. I hope this knocks some sense in her so she can raise the kid right.

Fagan was listed at 5'-10" on the Auburn roster, and also pretty solidly built. I imagine it wouldn't be hard to get to 200 lbs. when you add a baby to the package.
