Hello, I’m new to the forum. I’m looking to get my DD a couple of new gloves and want to get quality. She plays pitcher and first base for 14u travel and will be starting high school ball. I’ve been looking at Rawlings heart of the hide, as well as Nokona and Wilson. However I just stumbled across the Vinci and am really curious about them and especially the Optimus line of fastpitch gloves. Anyone have any experiences or opinions?

If you're interested in Vinci, contact DFP'er Drakemir. He's a Vinci rep, and can help you find the model that's the best fit for your DD. His prices are also very good.

My DD uses a Vinci JCV34 catcher's mitt, and loves it. It was a beast to break in, but the payoff has been worth the effort. There are lots of happy Vinci users around here.

Thank you. I’m just wanting to get her quality that will last hopefully through high school and from what I read on the website they seem to be made really well.

This has also been the real-world experience of many happy users. Vinci isn't the only company that makes really good gloves, obviously, but they certainly are one to be considered. My DD has been using her Vinci catcher's mitt for almost a year, playing 12U and 14U TB. It may very well last her through HS. Do a search for "Vinci" on this site, and you can spend a LOT of time reading what others are saying.

Happy Vinci purchaser here. The kip leather is light but tough and after 2 full years and not exactly the best treatment it still looks great. DD really likes it and uses it for pitching and IF/OF.

At the same time I found a Heart of the hide on sale for myself to use. It is thick and heavy and holds it shape but after 2 yrs it still is not broken in even after being used for catching pitchers. Works for me but it would not be a good fit at all for my DD.

Thanks for all the comments, I was leaning towards heart of the hide until I found the Vinci. Now I’m definitely considering the Vinci.

The Vinci rep on this forum is awesome! Great customer service. We had an issue with our recent purchase and he went above and beyond to take care of us. Not just great quality gloves but also great customer service.

The great thing with Vinci and Nokona is they hold their value REALLY well, so if your DD hates the one you buy, your resale online for a recently broken in Vinci/Nokona is really good so it is low risk. Just remember these gloves take a long, long time to break in.

My DD loves her Vinci.
