On one I'd say no obstruction and likely no intent to injure, just part of the game. Though it's one you probably need to see to make a real judgement call on it.

On two, unless there is more to the story sounds like the ump jumped the gun on tossing you.

There were parents at the game that were getting a little out of hand. I don't know if they may have had a hand in it. The ones that were being rowdy weren't parents for our team but team. it seems kinda funny to me...but what do I know.

Thank you for liking my profile pic. I have been a Phillies fan ever since I can remember as well as The Eagles and The Flyers and Pens. I'm shocked how well they've been playing this season. I'm hoping we can keep it up. Have you made it to CBP yet this season? I've made it to three games so far.

Havent made it to CBP this year yet. Im not really a crowds type guy. I like to relax in my own house and watch games. They are doing very well, I wasn't expecting it either.
The young guys have really played well do far. Santana is finally hitting like the guy we signed for big money. Herrera has done well being more patient. Franco has disciplined himself at the plate as well.
Im still worried that the pitchers...besides Arrieta and Nola...are going to fizzle out.

Phils need one more big bat in free agency this coming year and one more proven starter before I think they are real contenders.

To show how incredibly ancient I am:

I went to a few Phillies games at Veterans' Stadium while in college.

Saw Game 2 of the 1980 WS.

Pete Rose on first, Trillo and Bowa the DP combo, the legendary Mike Schmidt, WS MVP, on third. Bob Boone (father of Aaron Boone) behind the plate, perpetual Gold Glove winner Maddux in CF.
Lefty Carlton, the greatest Phillies pitcher ever, got the win. Tug McGraw (father of singer Tim McGraw) got the save.

The other team (KC) had George Brett on third.

I don't think there has ever been a series played in the history of baseball with two better third base men.

I barely remember Veteren's stadium. Keep in mind I was born in 2001. I remember my dad would take me and my brother to a few games at The Vet. I vaguely remember some brutally bad Phillies and Eagles games there. I don't remember anything of the games that we saw there. I did however get to see some old games from there and you could definitely tell the stadium was old.

I worry about the young pitching too, Core. we need some help for either the middle or back of the rotation. I think our bullpen will be okay. I've been impressed so far with Arrieta, Nola, Santana, Herrera and the resurgence of Franco.

I agree we need another big bat or two in that line up. Do you think we'll go after one of the big guys on the top of the free agency market in a trade like the guy from Baltimore?

I have heard that with the amount of free space the Phils have to spend, I think Buster Olney was the one I was listening to, that he almost guaranteed one of the two huge
free agents (Machado or Harper) is almost a lock. The problem is, I don't know if I really want that kind of contract on the books. The good thing is, both
are very young, so a longer deal isn't going to kill you like other long term deals other teams gave people who are in their late 20's-early 30's. I think these
guys are 24 and 25, so even 8 years deals only put them early 30's when contract is done. So they should still be productive. Unlike guys like Pujols who signed a contract with the Angels for 10
years and has to play til he is like 43. He is already an albatrose on their books.

But, like I said, if its going to cost you 300/400 million...I might even would rather get a few very good players than one player for that money. For 300/400 million, you could sign 3/4
very good players

Closed Connie Mack and opened Veteran's Stadium. Attended the final game of the 80 WS. In the last inning, the Philly police brought dogs and horses onto the field. Strangest PA announcement I ever heard when from the sound system came, "Police dogs and horses are in play" :)
