We recently had a week where we played games every day to make up for lost time and we have another full week of games next week. I'm wondering from our northern users if you guys softball schedules are still really messed up where your having weeks your playing every day because of weather delays?

DD has 4 games this week and 4 games next week and because Western MA had snow well in to April the state tournament is now the 3rd week of June

They’re playing a lot of 5 inning double headers in Minnesota. When this happened a few years ago we played the full season in about 3 weeks.

Based on weather, Iowa has it right this year. Practice started this past Monday. Now Track and Golf have had a brutal spring

Not in the North, but we had a week this year where we played 7 HS games in a week. 3 games during the week and 4 games on the weekend due to a cancellation of an event with rain. It was brutal with school functions.

I know snow really played havoc with our scheduling. But it played havoc with school. We were supposed to be done around Memorial Day. Now, we don't finish until mid-June :(.

Ouch. I wonder how that would play into the major tournaments out here in California along with National Qualifiers in early and mid-june. Must be rough for summer travel plans also.

We have some rainouts but the standard around here for HS is turf fields so unless things get really bad the game goes on.

I'm surprised your season got stretched that far. Our season has a hard end date because we have to get conference tournaments done to know who heads on to the state tournament.

Early June tournaments are always interesting in this area. We signed up for a showcase in the Pittsburgh area in early June last year. We noticed that games were scheduled to start Friday, but based on school schedules, we thought we may be ok. Unfortunately snow days became an issue. Most of our team ended up having school that day. Several decided to skip school to play in the event, and we were able to find two pickup players to give us 9 on Friday. The rest of the team joined us on Saturday.

As far as DDs high school schedule, it really hasn't gone that badly. She has had 7 games postponed because of either snow or rain, but our Athletic Director has been very aggressive in rescheduling them. The team has had two weeks with 4 games scheduled, but most weeks have been 3 games. I'm surprised how well it has worked out.
