We had our first winning record weekend (3-1). They really played very well til the wheels fell off in our bracket game and we lost 5-3. It was annoying to lose to them. We'd just beaten them the game before (we had to play them twice in a row-pool then bracket) and the parents and their main pitcher had such attitudes. The pitcher at one point shoved one of our players off 3B to tag her. HC was probably going to lose it but the umpire saw it, called her safe, and gave the pitcher a lecture. She responded with major attitude. I've only ever seen 1 or 2 other 11 year olds act like that and I almost feel sorry for their parents when they hit 13 or 14. But then again, it's the monster they created.
Anyway! We usually do highlights. This link should take you straight to the run down. I just thought it was very well executed. This is an 06 team with one 07, 1st year 12U. We actually have 5 girls with 2025 grad years so we're a really young team. I was pretty proud of how well they handled this.
