My daughter is 11 years old. Primarily plays third base/outfield center and uses a 13 inch glove that she likes. She is a big and stronge 11 year old and wanting to get her a nice glove that wil last. There seems to be a good bit of variation between manufactures in glove sizes. We were looking at the shoeless jane in 12.5 or 13. Do you recommend something different? We were also looking at the Nokona v1300... thanks so much!

Shoeless Jane gloves are cool gloves but only got one season out of it. Bought a Vinci and daughter loves it. The Vinci is holding up well.

I would go with a 12" glove since playing both infield and outfield. 12.5" max if only playing outfield. With her age I would look at glove's in the $100 price range, with softer leather so she can squeeze it properly.

Don't want to offend any Shoeless Jane fans here.......but don't do it! In your DD's case, she sounds like the perfect candidate for a Vinci BV1929, possibly a RV1961, which really plays right around 12.5". I couldn't imagine any of my girls using a 13" glove at 3B.

A teammate of my DD had a Shoeless Jane glove in 12U TB. I got a chance to examine it, and watch it age. I was not impressed. My recommendation...Spend your money on something else. Seriously. The mid-level Mizuno MVP-series will last longer than a Jane.

In 12U, my DD's fielders glove was a 12.5" Worth Liberty Advanced. She used it for 3B, 1B, and the occasional inning at 2B. She has always preferred slightly larger gloves than most IFs. Her Worth was recently replaced with an 12.5" All-Star Vela.

If you're looking for a glove that will be around for a while, the Vinci recommendations are a very good way to go. Talk to Drakemir for the best deal.

I ordered 4 gloves from justgloves.com and had my DD try them all out. Granted they weren't broken in, but you can return them for free after you make the decision. Heck once you choose one, you can probably return them all if you find that same glove somewhere else cheaper. Just a thought.

For what its worth, and this was last year, she tried out:
Mizuno Classic Fastpitch Series: GCF1150F1 (11.5 ")
2016 Mizuno MVP Prime SE Fastpitch Glove: GMVP1200PSEF4- Silver/Black (12")
Louisville Slugger Xeno Pro Series (11.75")
Wilson Onyx Series: WTA12RF151175 (11.75")

At the moment she only plays MI. She chose the Xeno Pro, which just happened to be the most expensive (go figure  ) I don't like spending a lot on bats because they will outgrow them
but if my DD keeps playing, and takes care of the glove, she can use what she has for a long time. I used two (baseball) gloves, same model, from 6th grade all the way through Soph. year in college.

There are still some discontinued Mizuno Global Elite Fastpitch gloves out there cheap. I think the 12" and 13" are still available for $100-$120 and if either of those work then they represent a great bargain. If it was my kid, a 12" glove is what I would purchase for that age group especially if they are in the infield some.

My kid has been using this for the past 9 months and she absolutely love it: Mizuno GGE50FPV Global Elite Fastpitch Glove
