I've seen some claims that it is as simple as doing the same thing one would do when breaking it in originally.

Depends on the glove and the quality of leather.......even if it can't be corrected 100%, it can be made better. But again, just depends?

Thanks. I was not expecting any perfect, just whether or not it was worth trying.

I'd just place a ball in it, always, when not in use; and make sure it's wrapped in the position it needs to be with rubber bands/bungee straps. Also put conditioner/oil on it where the shape needs to change.

I really don't understand the "put a ball in it" stuff. All that does is create a rounded glove that's incapable of closing properly. It also frequently causes the thumb and pinky to align weird (though this could partially be the result of cheaper gloves). Literally every single glove I've ever seen a kid use that's shaped like this makes them worse at catching a ball. They end up just trying to use it like a basket and not an extension of their hand (the hand, by the way, is not rounded into a bizarre shape).

The best glove is a glove that lies flat because it gives you the most control.

(I should add I'm mostly talking about bigger OF gloves. Maybe things are different if you're an infielder, though I doubt it)
