I see that someone cares a bit too much. I guess this is why I only intend to upload video proof of any claims I make about my DD. LOL
let it be fun MNDad thank you for trying to help and let the truth come out. DW says that both my greatest strength and biggest weakness is my inability to give up on a fight where I know, deep down in my heart, that I'm right.Lying isn't a little bit strong in this case, rose colored glasses are much too generous. I mentioned 1 lie, others mentioned a couple others, and there are a bunch more that haven't yet been mentioned. 1-2 "lies" could be "rose colored glasses", significantly more than that moves out of that definition imo. I'll list out some in just one of his posts.
"The first game, she didn't get to hit because she was put in late in the game. The time limit was reached just as she was due up and she was pissed...lol."
---Lie, AFAIK college games don't have time limits unless the game went very extremely long, not the case in this instance (1h16m game). The game ended on run rule.
"The second game, she Pinch hit for the catcher and hit the single driving in 2 runs and had a K the second time around."
---His DD did PH for the catcher, did hit a single (congrats!), only 1 RBI per the website. Didn't get a second AB, so I'm not sure how she could K.
"The third game, she went 1 for 1 hitting (Pinch hit again) the double and scoring 2 more."
---She did PH, and struck out, no RBIs, no double.
"The fourth game, she pinch hit for the catcher and Ked."
---She started this game, and struck out twice. She played the whole game, a 5 inning run rule loss.
"The last game, she had a single, a double, a walk and a hard ground out to F5. With the hits, she scored 3 more."
---She had one AB in the 5th game, a PH, 1 RBI double.
When every single sentence is wrong, and there isn't any reasonable explanation as to why, the poster is lying. "The book" can be slightly wrong once or twice, but not every single game by non-marginal amounts. BTW, this "exposé" included just the first 40% of a single post, with a ton of other posts by him containing very likely lies.
YoCoach, please do upload the one video that survived your phone's unfortunate fall, it would double my belief that you aren't FoS from 0.1% to 0.2%.
I agree. Hyperbole can run deep in the softball world. How often is 48mph stated as 54mph?
The only issue I had in his post to me was his last line. Seems very high-schoolish. "So pretty much, shut your facetious yap because you have absolutely no clue as to the caliber of players many of us on here have as DD's."
CM, I apologize. It was entirely wrong for me to say that, but the point remains the same. There are some people on here that have DD's that have in the past, or are now playing P5 D1. There also a lot of parents whose DD's were recruited at a high level but by-passed that particular route in search of the perfect college that offered the balance between academics, sports, social life and campus environment. There's nothing wrong with either choice. Many more on here have DD's still developing and doing astonishing things due to the knowledge gained from this site as well as those recommended on here. Occasionally, you'll find claims that are extremely hard to believe such as the 10U pitcher throwing 60 MPH+. It has been verified by several members on here watching her at PGF nationals and doing the Pocket Radar thing as well as college coaches (so it's been reported). Just because you haven't seen this caliber of player doesn't mean they don't exist.
I'm not sure why you would assume that I don't know that there are parents with kids playing D1, D2, D3, and JUCO ball. My DD1 is a 2021 grad that I'm quite certain will play college ball. I know that there are DD's on this board that play at an extremely high level.
I really wish you would have got that 335 foot over the fence on video. There's not much video of girls hitting the ball over 300 ft (I could only find one on Youtube). The longest Home Rune I ever witnessed was in the Worlds 2 years ago at Softball City in Vancouver. The 4-stick on Team Japan just crushed one off of Team Canada. It flew over the bleachers and hit the slow-pitch fence in the air (300 ft).
Hey in HS ball my DD once tagged up at second and was safe at third on a pop-fly to the 1B side on deck circle. I don't have a video but I have a Tweet from the local newspaper guy! Lol!Believe me, so do I! And it was only 330'. It barely cleared the fence by 5' or so if that.

I'm glad you're amused! Just be re-assured that I've personally see one member's DD hit it over the same fence 3 times although he doesn't post on here often. Meanwhile, his DD is playing Major D1. Last year, a TB player hit it over twice although I didn't see those but heard about them. BTW, urban legend has it that many people have seen Crystal Bustos hit it over a 395' baseball fence. Are you going to disparage her also or are you going to give her the credit due to her based on the reputation she's built and seeing her hit those bombs even though you haven't? IDK if it's true or not but I would definitely give her the benefit of the doubt on this one.
Again, Just because you haven't seen someone hit a 12" softball that far or someone we happen to be talking about hasn't built up the reputation Crystal Bustos has due to lack of news articles and video to confirm it so "you can see it with your own eyes," doesn't mean it hasn't happened in the past nor that it won't happen in the immediate future.
So my question to you is, how much do you believe a 10U pitcher is throwing 60MPH+? A few have seen it happen on here. A few have posted about it on here saying they personally know the family and others have expressed incredulity at it. Yet, why do you believe it if it happened? Because someone else has seen it?
