There is def a lot of "small ball" around here, especially at the 10,12,14u ages. Lots of base hits, and bunts for hits. Speed kills at those younger ages. Lost of double steals, and getting the weaker defenses flustered and throwing the ball around. Creating runs. That being said, I don't remember any HRs at 10U, or anything even close to it. I don't remember any at 12U for that matter. They did start coming at the 14U level, but I still don't remember it being a regular basis or anything.

MNdad, no you don't have the wrong person. Thank you for pointing out the discrepancy. However, I have absolutely no idea how it's not accurate. DW was at the tournament and video'd every AB because she wanted to capture Em's (Rose) first HR if possible and texted every AB to my work cellphone.
The first game, she didn't get to hit because she was put in late in the game. The time limit was reached just as she was due up and she was pissed...lol. The second game, she Pinch hit for the catcher and hit the single driving in 2 runs and had a K the second time around. The third game, she went 1 for 1 hitting (Pinch hit again) the double and scoring 2 more. The fourth game, she pinch hit for the catcher and Ked. The last game, she had a single, a double, a walk and a hard ground out to F5. With the hits, she scored 3 more. As to why that's not reflected in her stats is beyond me but I had video proof of it all.
Since then, they moved on to Fl. and she struggled a bit. She DH'd for the Junior catcher and went 0-3. Next game, she got the first hit for her team and scored 2 more but went 1-3. Today, she went 3 for 4 but it depends on the scorekeeper as to how they'll score it. She had a hard one-hopper to F6. IDK whether she bobbled the ball or not so it may not be considered a hit and could possibly be scored an E. She also had a walk, a hit to P which she was thrown out and her first college HR....not necessarily in that order. I guess we'll see if it shows up or not in her stats on the college site.
Sorry It took so long to get back to you but I worked a 20 hour shift yesterday and only had maybe a half hour last night to see if what you told me was true. Thanks again.

There are time limits in college softball? I'm looking at the college's website, first game they got run ruled, 2nd game went a full 7 innings, as did G3, G4 they got run ruled again, G4+G5 both went 7, G6 got their first win in 7, all in Virginia. So you're missing a game in your recap.

Your DD is impressive, but you lying about her does her a disservice.

90210, I am guessing that "lying" is a little bit strong. From his posts it appears as if YOCOACH is wearing some seriously "Rose" colored glasses! Proud dad all the way and it is probably skewing his ability to be objective.
YOCOACH, you didn't ask for advice, so take this for what it is worth. Sit back, enjoy the ride with all the ups and downs, and just be a fan. It is over way too quickly! We are all happy for you both. Whether she hits .200 or .500 won't change that. I know you want to brag about her and that is all well and good, but in college they have official statistics and post them on the internet. We can all disagree with a error ruling but it does no good. The book is the book. As you now figured out, folks are going to verify what you post because we are naturally interested and curious.
I know one thing for certain, I had never even heard of the Edinboro Fighting Scots but I will be following them now. There has probably been an exponential increase in clicks on the Edinboro softball website in the last week.
Thank you for this, it made me laugh as well as put things in perspective. However, many on here don't know the circumstances under which she reached those stats or the claims I made about going 28 for 29 in her last individual showcase. She was asked to be a "Cage Animal," in her last individual college showcase. The "games" they played, 10 in all, consisted of a pitcher, a catcher and a hitter in a hitting tunnel. 5 were where the team hit and 5 were where the team pitched and caught. When hitting, the umpire called out what they thought the hit would result in. They had top level college umpires behind the plate. Em had one K the entire time. Everything else was considered a hit for her since she hit no ground balls during that time. Every ball she hit was a line drive. Does that mean that she would have reached base every single time? No. But I'd bet that she'd have reached it a majority of the time she hit them.
As to my other claims, they were verifiable up until January when the websites archived the previous data and video. I can literally hear the eyeballs rolling now but again, I don't care. I don't have rose colored eyeglasses on. Many on here have watched my team play and have seen my DD hit and they will or won't verify it. It's up to them to come to my defense or not. The rest, IDC about. Whether her college stats are right or not, again, IDK why they aren't but again, IDC. Just know that those college stats they have are including 2 indoor tourneys which IMO, don't really count since they play by modified rules as opposed to true SB rules. JMHO.
I plan to enjoy to sit back and enjoy as much of the ride as I can. Meanwhile, I've taken over a 12U TB team and am starting over on the next batch. I wish everyone well and a great upcoming season!
Again, I don't know why they're not accurate. I'm not lying nor do I wish to. Up until Monday, when I dropped my company cell-phone off of a lift 85' in the air running heat-trace on a water pipe at our local steel mill, I could have proved it with video. Since I only downloaded her first college hit, scoring 2 runs, to my cloud, I only have that now. However, I would gladly download it it and share it, this was game 2 (3?) bTW. IDK since I only received the videos DW sent me from the games she was there for. IDK whether she was there for game 1 or not, but I assume she was since it coincided the Chowan game where they got run ruled.
Losing the rest of the videos isn't a big deal IMO. As for game #7, DW had to leave since she's actually a responsible adult and needed to get home (7 hour drive) in time to eat dinner and go to bed so she could actually function at work the next day since she's an inner city public school teacher in one of the worst school districts behavior and state testing-wise in the state and really needs her rest for mental reasons as well as physical since she has been diagnosed with RA for the past 13 years. I actually have no clue as to whether she played or even hit in that game. Ill have to ask her about that one. Thank you.
Again, I really don't care what everyone believes which is why I usually don't post about my DD's accomplishments since , as this thread has proven, unless most people see it with their own eyes,, read or hear a news article about it or see a social media post, they won't.
Thanks for adding a "hit" to Edinboro's softball website. They cut their funding of the team once again this year and any and all website hits they get might increase funding in the future...hopefully.

Lying isn't a little bit strong in this case, rose colored glasses are much too generous. I mentioned 1 lie, others mentioned a couple others, and there are a bunch more that haven't yet been mentioned. 1-2 "lies" could be "rose colored glasses", significantly more than that moves out of that definition imo. I'll list out some in just one of his posts.

---Lie, AFAIK college games don't have time limits unless the game went very extremely long, not the case in this instance (1h16m game). The game ended on run rule.

---His DD did PH for the catcher, did hit a single (congrats!), only 1 RBI per the website. Didn't get a second AB, so I'm not sure how she could K.

When every single sentence is wrong, and there isn't any reasonable explanation as to why, the poster is lying. "The book" can be slightly wrong once or twice, but not every single game by non-marginal amounts. BTW, this "exposé" included just the first 40% of a single post, with a ton of other posts by him containing very likely lies.
YoCoach, please do upload the one video that survived your phone's unfortunate fall, it would double my belief that you aren't FoS from 0.1% to 0.2%.

We were playing in 8u, player hit 220 fence on the fly.
DD was playing 3rd when she came up again.
HC yelled out to her, I am thinking good back her up into LF.
