I have missed DDs games before... Watching DS do his thing, work, traveling, sick, etc... But I have never just not gone.

Today's away game is just not worth it. We have a team that would be competitive at ASA/PGF Nationals... They don't have a travel player. And not many players with rec experience.

We have some great games on the schedule... And those are better than anything even travel can offer... But not this one.

The trip there and back will take much longer than the game.

It happens. We all miss games for one reason or another. And as long as she knows why you aren't going, surely she will be fine with it.

Believe me, she isn't thrilled about going either. It isn't fun beating up on kids who started playing a few weeks ago.

It won't bother her at all that I am not there.

Most of DD2 league games are going to be blow outs. I'm going to every game. DD1 would be mad if I didn't go to a game for no reason. DD2 probably wouldn't mind at all.

Ahhhh yes. This brings back good memories. DDs team had games where the only outs recorded by opponents were from our base runners leaving the bag early. DD was actually told to strike out on purpose! She tried but was unsuccessful, much to the coachs dismay.

Texas too. The rule puts DD's team out of their misery. Having a decent pitcher makes all the difference in the world. Last year we were one game out of the playoffs and this year we will be lucky to win more than 5 games all year. Hopefully our pitcher recovers (surgery)and gets to pitch this summer and will be ready for Sr season. Meanwhile our pitchers have walked 42 batters and 11 HBP in 6 games. It's like 10U rec ball all over. Been outscored 75-16.

Welp.... followed the game on GC. We started walking off after scoring 10 with one out in top of 1. Scored 5 more in top of 2 with no outs... walked off the rest. Our subs got a lot of play (as they should) and got some hits and field time.

They didn't get a base runner. Our #4 pitcher officially had a no-hitter I guess with 6K's.

15-0, 3rd inning run rule

So glad I wasn't there.

Update: DD is home. She walked on 4 pitches and then got HPB on the first pitch of the next two at bats. So no official at bats.. Played 3rd but nothing came her way (in fact she said they only got three balls into play for the whole game)
