Update- DD decided to work as hard as possible and contribute where she can. She got her chance this past weekend when the starting pitcher got injured. Although the injury wasn’t as bad as originally thought, dd got to start 1 game and relieved the starter in the 4th inning of another game. I am very proud of her because her motivation and hard work showed. After the starter allowed 9 runs on 12 hits, my dd went in against a team that was state champs last year. She pitched 3.1 innings allowing 1 run in relief. Coach told the team that my dd has stepped up and has created competition at pitcher. Whether his coaching tactics caused her to be more motivated, I don’t know but I’m proud of how she has handled herself.
