We were looking to do a hitting league for non high school players. Typically teams get points for strike outs, walks, ball hit to back of net, etc. Any examples of how to typically score, or examples of score cards?

We started a hitting league years ago. We only scored hits though.
Grounders- 1 point for 10u and 0 for 12u and older
Line drives- 3 points
Bombs- 5 points
5 rounds of 10 good pitches (front toss) and we ran it for 6 weeks. Set the girls in teams of 3. Coach usually kept score and at the end of the 6 weeks we had a championship game. Bought a trophy that read "hitting champs" something like that. DD1 I'm sure has it in a box somewhere. It's a ton of fun plus it's an extra day of hitting!

I started a league with my teams last year where we have....
1. full line up of at least 5 to play
2. live pitchers, catchers, and umpire (coach calling pitches)
3. colored rope is across the top back 1/3 of the cage ceiling and down vertically on the side walls to establish points (balls hit up in front of rope is a fly out, past the rope is a point)
4. a large target in the back of the cage wall (for the catcher to get 1 throw down per inning. If she hits it, a point is deducted from the opponents)
5. No points for pop ups, or dribblers... Batter is out for these (our goal is line drives only)
6. 1 point for a line drive, 2 points for a holy crap, frozen rope (umps call)

This format allows for 3 teams to show up (11 or 12 on a team) we'll then divide the teams evenly and now have a 6 "Team" tournament!!!
We charged each full team $50 per tourney.... this covers the facility rental and the ump fees

If 5 or 6 teams show up the extra money will go into the organization and will be used for parties for the girls...
The big bonus here was my girls got to see live competition of pitchers, adjusting to the different blues ever-changing strike zone, are were better prepared for the next real tournament we had scheduled

Thanks for the input. Any examples on how score cards are set up? Our organization is trying to set up a hitting league starting in March for 10U and 12U and trying to get things set up quickly.

Would opposing team get points if pitcher strikes out batter? Or deduct points if pitcher walks a batter? My DD was in a hitting league few years ago and thought these were included. The did have a score sheet but unfortunately don't have a copy to share. Would be interested in seeing one.

The batter would receive 1 point for a walk.... no points awarded for a K... its just an out. The only way a point is deducted from a team score is if the catcher hits her throw down target (a 3'x3' piece of corrugated plastic board)
