Totally agree. I would love to watch but I'm not watching flo soft on my phone and it's very difficult to watch on my fire TV without an app even through the new Firefox browser

Streaming options definitely need to get better. Flosoftball has a Roku app that I use on occasion but it's hit and miss on what's available. You can send almost any video to the TV with Chromecast, which I use alot, but it's not as easy as a dedicated app. If a pro fastpitch league could figure out a good streaming business model (probably with advertisers) available on most streaming TV devices and just do an end-run around traditional TV, I'd watch it.

For those mentioning the NPF streaming options: A bigger problem, imo, is that many times the games are unwatchable because of terrible camera placement, direction, announcing, etc.

If you want to be taken seriously as professionals, look like professionals. You need multiple camera angles. You need direction from a truck. You need announcers who can pronounce the players' names correctly.

But it seems like the NPF leadership would rather whine about a team leaving that do the work required to make the product consumable.

I'll add another angle to the above post.
They need to play on softball fields. Not baseball fields with the bases moved, circle moved, and a temporary fence. It just looks cheesy and amateur to me.

Agreed! This has been one of the biggest turn-offs for me, and I'm a softball fan. Playing softball on a full-size baseball field immediately makes it look like less of a game. I don't get that feeling at all watching college softball. IMO, the NPF would be way better served by playing in college stadiums.

I agree but there's something to be said about the Akron Racers playing at the old Firestone Stadium. Yes it's an old baseball field but just the history of the place gets to me when we go to the games. I would think watching a game in Fenway park would be comparable in the MLB.

With the recent upgrades to Firestone, you can't really tell any longer that they played baseball on it at one time. Permanent fencing and new turf really made the place look fantastic for softball. Too bad nobody in the NPF seems to think a pro team should play on it.

I think some of what the teams are doing could be a good thing. I went to a couple games in Akron and the draw was not good. The Racers/Comets new plan is to play home games in several different cities in Ohio. This will spread the love a little and possibly expose more people to the sport. We are softball fans from near Detroit so we had to drive 3+ hours for the games, which by the way is well worth it. The articles I have read says they believe they will be able to pay the players more, which means they are making more money.
