So is the NPR now the InterNational Pro Fastpitch league?

Seems that some people are upset with the influence of the international teams.

Just pondering, could a professional fastpitch league work similar to soccer? Where youth teams lead up to the "top" team? Would that eliminate HS and college? Everything would be technically be TB organizations.

Right Here For Now
I hope not. It's already a big money grab as is. If that were to happen and everything went TB, it would be a free for all with the big name organizations taking a majority of it and the small organizations pretty much disappearing . That said, we might see a huge dynamic shift away from school ball until they hit college. There's still too much money there for the colleges not to put up a big fight for it. I don't see HS ball going anywhere although it would probably be played at a lower skill level since it would probably be comprised mostly of old rec-ballers. Scary thoughts all the way around.

I agree with your vision, some of the best players are not playing for our HS.

Curious if baseball is going the same way, I would bet it is.

Locally, softball players still play HS softball. But assuming we get to the same level you see, baseball shows no indication of bypassing high school ball here.
But the sports couldn't be more different at the younger levels. Where almost everyone in softball who has the talent gravitates to travel by age 12, Travel baseball is a much different animal than softball out here. The Ripken leagues still keep their talent during the rec season, then the kids go to travel teams. From friends in little league, I hear the same is true there.
