Riseball- I think maybe the difference is perspective. What I mean is that you live in a world where they are writing about a lot of people you have first hand experience with. I’m reading about people I know of and haven’t necessarily met. I have some experience with reading newspaper articles about incidents I have first hand knowledge of and if your average reporter gets it 75% right they are having a good day.

I was glad that goldfastpitch.com was around when my DD going through the recruiting process. My suggestion would be to send FloSoftball a message that you are going to cancel your subscription if the MVL is not updated regularly.

Goldfastpitch.com was a fantastic resource for us as well. Great to know what schools already had a catcher recruited from my DD's grad year. I was sorry to see it go now that my next DD is in the thick of recruiting.

FloSoftball in my area seems to be a paid service for parents whose kids aren't as good as they think they are to brag about them being #78 in the country (or whatever). But maybe that's just me.

Why do you call it that? They stream a ton of games and provide other good content. It isn't cheap, I agree. But it isn't a fly-by-night operation by any means.....curious about your take on it...
If you are using for streamed games, download Periscope app. Plenty of softball on there during the season. A friend of mine streams all the 16U Fury Platinum games he’s able to attend, so if you are looking for quality softball, he’s a great follow. You can still catch some Cali and Florida teams through the winter on the weekends now.

I never said they were fly-by-night or anything close. There will always be good money in snake oil as long as their is consumer demand. That said, when you publish something claiming to be a definitive list which by nature is anything but, it puts you into the same league of the National Enquirer or any other supermarket tabloid.

Wasn't trying to stir anything up but just curious about you calling the The National Enquirer. Thanks

I've got no problems with someone making an honest dollar, but that was what I smelled, too.
