This has been a great site but unfortunately the experience has been undermined by the introduction of these spontaneous ads that tell you you've been selected to win a $1000 gift card of your choice - but the only choice is Walmart- and there is no way to close the window or get out of the advertisement.

Is this type if ad vital for the survival of DFP?

Please get rid of them. It seems to happen more often that I go on DFP and wind up closing out if it without looking at anything because the damn advertisement intercepted my browsing.

Is there a way to get around them? I have tried logging out and logging back in but it still intercepts me.

Thanks fir listening anyway

I only look at this site while I am at work. I would say get good pop up blockers and anti virus programs in place. I have never had one of those pop up on this site.

I use Firefox with the free Privacy Badger addon from the Electronic Freedom Foundation and I see no ads at all. As I type this it's blocking 13 tracking cookies and keeping the ads from popping up. There are also other free addons that make FF work even faster.

I only View the site via iPad or iPhone. I dont currently own a pc.

same here, somewhere there's some malicious code in DFP's files allowing the browser hijacking to take place. I'd recommend the the admin scan the files through a malware detector, or hire someone to fix it for a small fee, as more and more people rely on phones to access the site, it's going to turn away a large majority of users.

The admin for the site should look into this.

I get warnings the site has been hacked on google and also get the same advertisement redirects on iPhone and home Macs. Usually use back button then forward button but yesterday even that was not working and redirect was out of control and had to install Taptalk. Pop ups are set to blocked and still got this on brand new iPhone 7 and I don’t get this on any other site.

I think this is hurting the site traffic because I constantly tell friends how great the pitching forum is but they end up getting the same problem.

The malicious code is in the ads. When you load a page from the DPF site the ads read your cookies and then hit their servers to try and bring you targeted content you've viewed earlier. That's where the problems are. It's a byproduct of having "Free" access to the site. The costs requires the admin needs to have ads that have click bait in them to raise the counters so the site generates funds to keep everything here up and running. The scripts take time to run. Tha's why when you hit MSN or any of the other major sites they take forever to load. My wife keeps complaining her computer is too slow. I'll open IE and FF. I'll click on MSN in IE first and then FF. The FF browser page loads way before the IS browser page. Often MSN will stop loading and produce an error due to a long running script. She's still not convinced.
