I used to have the same problem here(almost left) on my phone(galaxy 7) but it offered a pop up blocker and is much better since applying.

The pop up ad is killing me at DFP. iPad/Safari. I guess I will try Firefox before I fling my ipad through a window.

I mostly access the site thru my iPad because DFP has been blocked in the past year by my company's IT dept.
WAIT- I just tried logging in on my work computer so I could see what message I get, and it let me log in!

Don't waste good paper...wait, whats the i for? :)

I have no idea what any of this pop up stuff means or whatever as I am a computer idiot. But If this gets some money into the site to offset costs,
Im ok with it. But then again, I don't click anything...maybe I have some blocker or something helping the issue...heck, I don't know...haha

It’s not a legit advertiser paying to be here from what I can see- it’s got the scam look. Free iPads and $1,000 Walmart gift certificates because I’m the “lucky random winner” etc

This has been a great site but unfortunately the experience has been undermined by the introduction of these spontaneous ads that tell you you've been selected to win a $1000 gift card of your choice - but the only choice is Walmart- and there is no way to close the window or get out of the advertisement.

Is this type if ad vital for the survival of DFP?

Please get rid of them. It seems to happen more often that I go on DFP and wind up closing out if it without looking at anything because the damn advertisement intercepted my browsing.

Is there a way to get around them? I have tried logging out and logging back in but it still intercepts me.

Thanks fir listening anyway

I agree with Core. The ads, while sometimes annoying, pay for the operation of the site. I am more than willing to put up with them (although they really aren't that bad) in order to be able to visit this site and learn from everyone here with out having to pay for a subscription. Because this website is not free - it costs the admin money to keep it up and running. If the ads offset that cost or even allow him to pocket some money for all the time that he spends administrating the site then I am all for it.

If you're using your phone to browse the site, get the tapatalk app. It's not ad free, but there are no popups.

Probably works on ipads, too.

The problem isn’t the legit ads, it’s the scam pop ups. They redirect you to another site and you can’t get back to DFP without closing the window. You must not be seeing them. DFP isn’t getting paid for those.

It hasn’t happened in a couple days for me.

I have a feeling im not seeing them to be honest
