Absolutely. Being expelled from the school shouldn't be only be the only punishment.

Making it worse is the fact that the coach is not only their strength coach but also is basically the AD.

That is the first thing I thought when I watched the video also. What happened before he threw the punches. That being said I can't think of to many circumstances that would make sucker punching someone an o.k. thing to do.

It could be that nothing happened on the sidelines that would be so extreme as to "explain" why the player punched the coach. It could be the student was so use to responding to many different situations with violence that this was just another moment to respond that way. I still think the player should be arrested to determine if charges should be filed.

Then again, what do I know. I took two classes in Constitutional Law, and never another class in law.
