If a travel team carries 5 players of a highschool team one weekend...can they drop one of them the next weekend and carry another one from same highschool. Also, can they do this in the same tourney from Sat to Sun

Your questions are really vague. What state are you in? Are there restrictions on how many players from the same HS can be on the same travel team?

That has got to be a local rule.

Sorry. Thought is was fairly common rule. Tennessee TSSAA rule that states no more than 50% of whats required to play your highschool team (and are on the hs team) can be on one club team during off season but during school year. 5 for baseball and softball. 3 for basketball. Summer is exempt.

This is a state specific rule. Indiana it's similar as well. The rule has to do with contests (games for example)...it doesn't really matter how many you "carry" on the team it is specific to playing in a game (practice or lesson).

You could roster your whole high school team and "carry" them but you can't participate in contests with more than 5 players from the same High School.

Nobody really cares unless you get reported by another coach or player.

This^^^^^^ TB tournament directors could really care less which HS players on a TB team attend. The only way this would become an issue is if someone reported them. Does it also matter if the HS coach is involved with the team? I know there are additional rules that do not allow HS coaches to coach more than a couple of their players in TB.

IL you are either allowed 3 or 4 from same HS softball Team on same Team, nothing to do with HS coach. The 3 or 4 have to be on the school's softball team. Your entire Team can be from same school as long as they do not participate in SB.

I am not sure penalty if you get caught.

(Indiana has a similar rule, brother had to tell parents/ player to move on during tryouts because they were maxed out on HS player went to. Apparently she was a really good player too.)
