Perhaps we also need a "Ranting" forum, bacause while whines and rants may appear similar, they are very different.

It's a point of view thing. When you think you're ranting, I think you're whining. When I think I'm ranting, you think I'm whining.

Close but not quite! Ranting is when I know I'm right and intend to set the entire world straight, whining is when I know I'm right, but understand that attempting to set the entire world straight is a futile effort. Venting is an entirely different thing and maybe needs its own forum too.
