My OF daughter loves Rawlings and just got a new GGE 12.5 inch from Dicks (we cannot justify paying $250+ on a glove). She prefers the basket style webbing and the easy breakin of this glove. Hoping this gets her through 4 years of college, as her previous one lasted 4 years of travel and high school ball.

Suggestions are just a starting point. Great middle infielders have a love affair with their leather, so just anything wont do. DO NOT buy one based on consensus thought. One of my daughters left the A2000 for an All Star Vela 3 finger 12". You would have to use a crowbar to take the other daughters A2000 from her

Thank you, everyone, for your suggestions! I had her go into our local place and try a few on. She didn't like the A2000 - too stiff, but the Vela is a possibility. The other one she really liked is a Marucci. It had a lot of give and was "softer" than most of the others. I had no idea Marucci even makes a fastpitch glove. We'll sit on it for a little bit longer since her glove is still serviceable, and she's not keen on the idea of going up in size from the 11.75 she uses now.

Rawlings Heart of the Hide Fastpitch series are good. They are Dual Core, which a lot of old-school glove gurus don't like. But they hold their shape well, and break in pretty quick. They run about $199-$220. Horween Featherlight leather, narrower wrist and finger stalls.

Daughter is a true utility, she uses a 12.5". Hers is the PRO568 model, without the adjustable wrist. Semi-deep pocket, but not so deep she can't get the ball out quickly. Works fine in the OF too.

Hi, my daughter will be splitting her time between the middle infield and the outfield this year, so she's looking for a good utility-type glove. She doesn't have a lot of time to spend breaking it in, so she's looking for a glove that comes mostly broken in from the start. If it helps, she's 5'4/120 pounds with an athletic build and wears a size small in batting gloves. Thank you!

Re-reading your post, and if your DD is only wanting to use one (1) glove, the Vinci BV1929 makes the most sense to buy. Every girl on my DD's showcase team who split time between IF & OF have two different gloves. I'm definitely a Rawlings baseball glove fan over anything else out there right now and I've had a ton of Vinci's in our household, still have 4.

But for just one glove to split time between MIF/OF, and small hands, get Drakemir to order you a custom/hybrid BV1929 with an H-web. I know Casedawg was ordering that combination for his TB team. As much as you probably don't want to hear it as far as money goes, sometimes two gloves are your best option.....

Wilson A2000 KP92

It's a 12.5" baseball outfield glove, but it's relatively light without a real deep pocket. It's what my DD (18U) uses when she's not catching. Uses it at all four infield spots and outfield, although she hasn't played outfield since last fall.

This ^^^^^^^^^^

My daughter has a Shoeless Jane infielders glove. When the first one was completely worn out... she finally let me replace it only if I bought her another just like it.
