Perhaps this should be posted in hitting, but , I think it is more of a general query. Sunday DD and I went to the field to do some hitting/fielding. After the first bucket of soft toss, this sore showed up on her left hand (right handed batter, bottom hand) She wears gloves, and I thought it was caused by something inside her batting gloves. (Franklin) But then I thought how rotten her last pair was (Demarini) and it never happened. My question is, is there a design flaw or a seam (that I didn't see) that caused this, or was it just a sandpaper effect. Secondly, what is going to be the best way to heal it? Band-aids do not stick at all, even the good 4ways, and she does not like it wrapped. I will try to post a picture.thumb.jpg

A water-proof bandaid would stick. The ones with the clear edges that you press down onto the skin. They're a bit pricer but they work better (for me at least) for foot/hand cuts.

My DD used to turn her white glove brown from blood sometimes from those. Don't know if it just toughened up or if she changed her grip but hasn't happened in a while. Nu Skin should help, probably can put moleskin in her glove. The good waterproof bandaids (not generic) might stick long enough to get her through one bucket.

Some people here by thier batting gloves at home depot. :) Apparently they find a better fit and they last forever.

Strange place for wound, needs to be the glove. Slightly to big would be my quess.
