How common is it for a 12 year old to pitch well from her first time

Also if you are althletic and coordinated at all walk thru the drills and do them with your daughter so you can understand and feel what is being taught especially the throwing underhand and backwards chaining drills

Wish I could, a disability prevents me from doing a walk thru drill.

She is off to a good start. Pretty good ball positioning going through the circle. Work on drive - might consider simplifying her premotion where she has the false start and then goes - but that isn't probably a super critical issue, I know some girls like a little extra for their timing. Just looked like she was getting loaded to spring out - but then stopped and stood up and lost all that momentum, and then took a big step instead of a strong drive.

If she is enjoying working and practicing as much as you say you are off to a great start that shows a lot.

And after you take that week to digest, take a look at the thread from time to time as you and your DD get better/more knowledgeable. My DD's been pitching for 3 years, and I'm still learning from that thread.

Thanks. Her pitching coach was working with her on inside and outside pitches today. I was amazed she got a some of her pitches close to her coaches mitt when set up both on the inside and the outside of the plate.
