Anyone know if the two participants from the Kirkland team that were ejected from the semifinal game were allowed to participate in the final? I'm assuming that the reason for ejection was unsportsmanlike conduct.

This is going to be a painful lesson for the players to learn. I hope they and others learn from their mistake.

Back on the dirt...
What caliber of teams are involved in this tournament? Is this more like a rec all star team championship?
when our local teams play, they are basically Travel teams that play LL. The Texas southwest team that is going to Oregon this year and the 13-17 majors team that went to Maryland last year are comprised of TB players. Just not all on the same team. So no, it's not reg players at this point of the tourney.

Kirkland doesn't seem to be lighting the world on fire with their sportsmanship either. They had a base runner and coach ejected during the game.....

From what I read, the Kirkland team was caught stealing signs from 2nd base and relaying them to the batter. That is why the player and coach were ejected. Atlee still won the game 1-0 and the Atlee girls were just giving the Kirkland team the freedom finger to say you cheated and we still beat you. I think the punishment was a little rough for the crime. Then you award the team that was cheating in the first place by giving them the win? I don't get that decision.

Can someone explain to me why stealing signs is considered an ejectable offense? We try to figure out the other teams pitching calls all the time. AND we relay them to our batter if a change is coming (If your last name is called, here comes the change).

I know a lot of teams won't allow phones in the dugout during or between games. Considering, maybe it's not a bad policy after all.

I joined Facebook for a day and have not been back.

I heard DD trashed umpire, needed to see before she sat for the rest of her life so I joined facebook.

Turned out normal stuff, worse umpire in world.

Somehow umps are fair game.

Penalty is way over the top IMO.

DD is pretty close to vest with her Team and other Team's players. Adults not so much.

They were not allowed to participate in the finals.

Umpire thought she was relaying signs when it was just her usual motion of getting ready to run.
