After looking forward to (and dreading) this weekend's final travel ball tournament for my daughter (and for my coaching "career"), Mother Nature decided to give us the finger and wipe out the tournament.
True, in a month she will be at college where her softball days will continue, but this phase is over.
No final travel ball AB, no final weekend of travel teammates and finding shade between games, no final team huddle, and no final tears of joy/sadness after that final out of that final game.
While it's certainly not how we envisioned the end, we will be forever grateful for the memories.
