I am sure I am behind curve here.

Apparently some MLBs are using a hockey style grip on thier bats and being pushed down a little bit to lower levels.

I assume they can make composite bats with type of handle.

Are thier any SB bats with this type of Handle? If not are they coming next year?

Hockey stick grip tape or a grip shaped like a hockey stick?

Prolly not what you're asking about, but I've seen a couple of these around:

Axe is as a good of description as hockey style.

Has anyone tried it?

(The rotate bat each swing is out the window, only 1 way to swing this bat.)

As I recall, the barrel is designed to strike the ball on only one surface--but don't trust my memory...

It has to only hit the ball on 1 side the way the handle is setup.

Lefty or righty would be same side always gets hit.

I have seen a kid with the axe bat. I have no idea if the bat is any good, this was a case of it's the Indian not the arrow. I thought Pedroia swung one but haven't looked it up.
