What would you consider to be a good batting average for 12U tournament ball?
Impossible to say. I few questions that need to be asked is a) A, B, or C level of ball?, b) do you have a scorekeeper that know the difference between and error and base hit?, c) are you facing quality pitching or pitchers that have a hard time throwing strikes and/or are pitching in the 40mph range?
If you need to know, I would look at what is the batting average compared to her teammates? If she is in the top 3 or 4 on the team in batting average for tournament she is probably doing fairly well? Again really hard to tell with the limited information given.
She has the 2nd highest batting average on her team for the season.
12UB level and has faced Open, A, B and C level pitching this year. 2 days ago she faced an A level pitcher whos team that won A states this year and Nationals last year and hit 4 for 4 with 1 ground out. Yes bookeeper knows what the diff is between an error and a base hit.
You can't go 4 for 4 and have a ground out in the same game.
