Post Texting your (not-softball-savvy) wife for updates

It's always funny when I can't be at DD's game and I'm depending on DW's illustration. Following on GameChanger, and I see DD hit a sac fly.

Text to DW: Was it a line drive, or fly ball, or pop up? (none of which she understands, but never hurts to ask).

Reply: "I'd say line drive married to a pop up.''

I think she was describing us. I'm the pop up.

At least your wife is paying attention....my DW would wander around and start talking to people and I would miss 3 or 4 innings worth of updates!

BTW - if you have a cell phone with an unlimited data plan (of a WiFi connection), a backup battery pack, and a Link Spyder, Periscope is a great way to broadcast games online for parents that cannot attend. One of the dad on my DD's TB did it and it was great.

She just texted me to ask the score.

JAD - Is yours playing in ATL this weekend?

I've considered this instead of the GoPro but I've already lost 2 GoPro's due to wild pitches or foul balls back at the camera. Can't imagine what my iPhone would look like after a weekend on the fence...
Do not argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I was at Hobgood today watching some 16U games, but my DD is enrolled in summer school and her TB career is over.

Is there a mount that will hold it far enough off the fence that a foul ball would not damage it?

DH always get mad when I stop sending play by play updates. Which is because my phone battery has died. DH has bought me another phone battery with instructions to keep the old battery with me...you know just in case.
