What are people's feelings about teams kneeling down or not at the 16U level when there is an injury on the field. Is this something you expect of your team?

The whole kneeling down thing is weird to me. We never did that when I played sports as a kid. When I first saw it I was wondering why everyone was kneeling.

I do not care if they kneel down, I just want them to get well away when adults get there. Either Team.

If DD hits a batter, or gets hit, that requires some attention that little fist bump from P to batter is really iffy if it is going to happen. Never seen it been rejected though which might be fun.

It seems like it is becoming expected in our neck of the woods and when our team has just been standing quietly they have been yelled at angrily by the opposing team and spectators to take a knee twice in the last month. Seems like as long as everyone is out of the way and not joking around that is adequate to me.

Yeah, as long as you're not running around, making jokes, laughing it up, etc. I don't see the purpose behind whole "kneel down" thing. I've seen girls kneeling down still talking among themselves joking around. It's a mindset when there's an injury, not an "assume the position" issue.

3 years ago at Southern Nationals (B)my DD gets beaned in the back of the leg by a kid that should not have been pitching at that level. My DD nearly took her head off the previous AB. This is 14U and noone from that team took a knee and that pitcher gave her a "get yer A$$ up you little B-word" look. We were an awesome All star team putting it to some of these B teams. Ended up getting 3rd but I will never forget that look and the bruise!
