Trading Pins at Nationals

As previously posted, DD's team is going to the USA Softball (formerly ASA) Nationals at the end of the month. I have been helping the coach by getting hotels arranged, getting trading pins designed and getting ideas for the gift that we are required to give each player of the first team we play.

My question is about the trading pins. For those of you that have been in this dance before, how many pins should I order for each player? I have no idea how many to plan on each girl will want/need...

Look at how many teams are there in your age group. We used to get 50 to 75 for each girl. So glad we didn't do pins this year......

Depending on you budget I would plan somewhere between 50 and 100 at 10U and 12U. I will also point out that pin trading drops off tremendously at 14U.

We did 30 last year for ussssa in Orlando. It seemed like a good # so we did 30 again this year for usssa in destin

We always did at least 30 for each girl. We actually could have traded close to 50 pretty easily.

As JAD posted earlier, pin trading drops off after 12U. I'll add it's the exception rather than the norm at older age groups. I presume you're talking about USA 18-A Nats, so the best advice would be from recent participants (Riseball?).
