We played in the Fireworks at Aurora Sports Park and we're lucky to stay there all week. Saw quite a few. Candrea and Hutch were both watching games, one thing I did notice,(probably doesn't matter), is that a lot of the coaches last week were the assistants not head coaches.

We saw both Hutch and Candrea at Stazio too, but only once. Mostly mid-level D1s from what I saw. But last year it seemed like there were 30-40 at every game. This year, maybe 6-7.

We saw several at our games in 16u IDT, but 14u IDT in Broomfield was loaded with coaches. Also, heard Sparkler Jr Power Pools at Erie had many coaches.

The IDT is a great tournament for unsigned players, but I would not spend the money to go back after my DD was verballed. Tremendous expense for the parents with the organization being the only benefactor at that point.

I would have to disagree. My dd LOVES playing the top competition every week and IDT is a great tournament for that. Yes it cost $, but well worth it to us. I am sure there are many differing opinions.

We played the IDT as well. Great competition and plenty of coaches watching. It was somewhat expensive but even after my kid is committed we hope to go every year for three reasons. 1. For the competition, if you want to be the best you have to play the best. 2. To help kids that are not committed in the organization get exposure. 3. Represent the organization so that the club can get invited back for dilutive kids in the program. Many of the coaches were watching kids they have already committed to watch their progress. I doubt coaches are very happy with kids that decide not to travel and play local once they are committed. They want them playing top competition. Just a guess.
