So my daughter is playing 8U and she has a strong arm but she throws grenades from home to first and it gets there but i want it on more of a line drive. Do you guys recommend throwing drills to help her make that throw from home to 2nd?

So Cal
At 8U (and even 10U, in a lot of cases), I usually prefer to have catchers get it to 2B with a low throw and a bounce. It's faster than the big rainbow that players of that age tend to need to get the ball all the way there without a bounce. I have used the cue "throw it through the pitcher's head" as a guideline for the height of the throw...of course with the instruction to the pitcher that they need to get the hell out of the way.
