The new Big Mouths use the same frame technology that all the larger Bownets use. Works great, much stiffer than the old style and it's far quicker to set up. That said, there really wasn't much wrong with the original Big Mouth and the new one is a bit more expensive. If you have the money, worth it. The new frame seems a bit heavier to me, if that makes a difference to anyone.

The Bodyguard is awesome. Very stable and much stiffer/stronger than the regular Bownet.

I have a Bodyguard. It is excellent, be careful how you put the poles in, I was splitting them by having too much pressure on base of pole where it inserts into frame. Bow net completely stood behind them and shipped new ones for free. I made a minor adjustment to the frame by bending sockets in slightly and that fixed it.

With younger kids you can get away with a regular bow net and pitch through screen as long as you don't stand too close to it but somewhere in 12's my kids were hitting hard enough to move the frame and flex the poles enough that I was taking too many shots. The Bodyguard will not let that happen.

If the base on the new Bigmouth is similar to the folding base on the Bodyguard, that's what I would get. I like the folding frame a lot.

Thanks guys! After my daughter nearly decapitated me last week, I'm really looking for something solid and portable. Appreciate the feedback!

I have the bownet I-screen and it works fine. Was a lot cheaper than the bodyguard. I've seen the bodyguard and it does look nice though.

Just received the Bodyguard. This thing is SOLID. The poles are twice as thick as the big mouth. The net is a thicker grade. The Orange fabric is also thicker than the big mouth.

I took Westwinds advice and was very careful with inserting the poles. The youtube videos said you have to lower the net as far down as you can get it. After doing that it was much easier to insert the poles.
