Alabama and Auburn Sunday before the game Auburn was expected to start a pitcher who had been called for being outside the lines on the mound. Auburn coach Clint Myers noticed the lanes on the mound looked off before the game started after being measured it was discovered they were 23 inches in stead of 25 inches according to the announcer. The ump had it corrected, but the pitcher expected to start was not who Myers started.

IMO it was no accident, being a NASCAR fan and in NASCAR they only consider it cheating if you get caught!

I talked to a college coach this year and he was talking about being at an away game against a team in his conference. He noticed the 1st base coaching box was 6 feet from the base line, and not the regulation 8 feet. He knows the school was notorious for stealing signs, and he thought the coaches box was intentionally chalked to get a better angle. He had the other school field staff redraw the coaches box line before the game. It really comes down to anything to get an edge.

Kaylee Carlson is always about a 1/4" from being called outside the lanes... especially on her screw.
