Not entirely softball related (kinda is since lots of games getting rained out), but just wanted to say I hope everyone is safe and doing Ok after the storms/tornados and flooding affecting much of the midwest and all the way down into Texas this past weekend.

I got to get on my roof (in the rain) and attempt to repair some rubber boots around electric weather head, and a vent stack that were both leaking into my kitchen, and did get a little water in the basement, but relatively unscathed compared with a lot of people.

Crazy rain weekend in IL, that's for sure. Sump pump has been working overtime the last 48 hours! Glad you come through without too much damage.

We actually got 1 HS game in Saturday morning...in 42 degree weather with 30 MPH winds and cold cold COLD rain that started in the 3rd inning. Yeah, that was fun.

Its currently snowing in NW Iowa. Places north and west of here in South Dakota have received 6-8 inches. My kids had a 2 hour late start for school due to the snow and road conditions. Crazy for the 1st of May

Wow...snow in May. Yuck. We got north of 5 inches of rain in three days. Small streams and rivers are all expected to crest way above flood levels around Wed or so in the St Louis and south area. Lots of areas under water.

In Indiana, the sun finally peeked through the clouds today. Our tournament last weekend was cancelled and I think every diamond in the state looks like a swamp right now...

Woke up to 2-3" of water in the basement this morning. Sump pump took a crap. Took about 6 hours to replace the sump pump and clean up all the water with the shop vac. Basement is unfinished and got 3 box fans moving air around in the basement. On the bright side the floor in the basement has never been so clean.

We did get one game in Saturday morning, then the tournament was cancelled.
