I know OnDeck is a good camp to go to. What about Jerrad Hardin camps? Anyone know anything about it? Worth it?

Yes, my daughter has attended 3 of his camps in the past and will be going to her 4th in June. She has received interest from 2 schools that have seen her at these camps. I know one of the girls in the grade above my daughter committed to a D1 school in the fall that discovered her at a Jerrad Hardin Camp.

DD went to a JH camp two years ago as a 12U just for the experience. Lots of coaches there and she had a good time. If nothing else, she got to see where she stood against other kids that were playing in HS. They also had a good talk and Q&A afterward that I think the girls found useful.

We will go to our first this year. It was highly recommended to us from a couple of girls that attended. One of them jump started her recruiting by meeting a couple of coaches there.

Let us know what you think of the camp Rambler. I had not heard of the camp so looked it up, and have to say I'm intrigued lol. It turns out there is a camp at the end of June about a 45 minute drive form me. It looks like as of now there are coaches from 14 different schools attending. I wonder how beneficial it would be to send a 13 year (2022 grad) old to the camp, and what she could get out of it since she is not really at recruiting age. Are the majority of the campers high school age? Do the parent usually stick around all day? It seems pretty pricey for a 1 day camp, but seriously thinking about giving it a try.

I will give a review after we go. We are only a year ahead of you and I had the same questions last year. On her coaches recommendation we have hit three different schools prospects camps since last summer and it has been a good experience for her. Being around older athletes has pushed her.

DD has worked with Coach Hardin a few times. He is a stand up guy and very knowledgeable. You will not be disappointed..

My daughter went to her first Jerrad Hardin Camp in November of her 7th grade year. She was a lot smaller than many of the other girls, but 4 coaches commented on her tenacity and fearless nature when it came to playing with the big girls. One of the schools that seen her that day communicates regularly with her travel ball coach about her and she is finishing up her freshman year of high school now. The coaches know the ages of each player by the color of wristband they have on. The younger ones can definitely get on a radar at these camps for sure.

Good info 95. My DD is in the same boat....she's about 5' and maybe 100 lbs. She has a dreaded December birthday, so it seems like she has been playing up with bigger girls since she started travel ball. Size difference doesn't phase her at all. I suppose it never hurts to plant that seed with college coaches. A couple of local colleges have camps coming up also (SIUE-DI and McKendree DII) that she wants to attend, but she's going to have to pick and choose for now because we can't afford for her to go to them all. I have no idea which camp a 13 year old would get the most out of. She has been to a few "all skills" camps that colleges put on, and she enjoyed them but never really came away with anything. Now she is finally getting at the age to do the "elite" camps, but really I don't know if they are different or not. This all new territory for us lol.
