I would expect that they will be diverted and the issue will not be adjudicated. Like it never happened, but not quite. The biggest loser in this is Fagan. Quite the legacy she has fostered. Regardless of her softball accomplishments she will be the one that pushed Walton on National TV and got arrested on 4/20. However, I do not think any of them will have an problem getting a job in most any field.
What's sad is that people can't / don't / won't recognize that this is NOT about smoking pot, it's about fulfilling your responsibilities to your teammates and the University that has privileged you with the opportunity to play Softball on a scholarship! These young women knew exactly what the consequences of their actions would be should they get caught breaking team, university rules!

ITA, it's insane that we're still ruining lives over a plant. Insane.
That said, the law is the law and it's not like they were protesting an immoral law, which I support doing in some cases. They just wanted to smoke some weed. Hey, I went to college. I get it. But you take that chance you might have to live with some unpleasant consequences.
Some lucky player just became starter overnight.
