Once your DD is done with her bifocals would she be willing to donate them to our local HS umpires??? We have had some really bad ones as of late. I am not one to get crazy with regards to bad calls (I keep telling myself that) but I about came unglued our last two games. I need to tell myself that college coaches are in the stands and hopefully that will shut me up.

Thanks for the responses guys. I feel pretty confident now that she can go without the bifocals. I ordered a cheap pair so we'll see how it goes.

A couple of people asked about contacts. I don't think she would do well with them. She's still weird about water getting in her eyes, I can't imagine she could handle putting contacts in.

It's very frustrating because she was blessed with early developed motor skills which has always given her an advantage, but she's as blind as a bat. I'm afraid she'll fall behind once the other kids around her catch up.
