Nice play by outfielder tracking down the ball.

I wish she was on our team...we could use a couple of outfielders willing to give 110% to make a play. Speaking of outfielders, I have been watching a lot of college softball on WatchESPN and there have been some HORRIFIC plays in the OF. I am guessing coaches are trying to hide a player with a big bat out there.

I wish our outfielders knew how important their role is, and tracked the ball like this. Too many think the outfield is a punishment, or a dead zone. They need to know their value!

At the risk of exposing my identity, I was at this very game yesterday (high school) and love that OFer. CF for the other team is equally talented (a bit slower but regularly makes full layout grabs)...they play on the same travel team and make a hell of a pair.

I love watching games on true fastpitch fields with real fences. Makes homers and plays like this more exciting. I think the games that are played on slowpitch fields, or worse yet, slowpitch/baseball fields (no grass but the infield is HUGE) is disrespecting fastpitch altogether. Maybe I'm a purist, but if we had more fastpitch fields, I believe the sport would grow in popularity. OK, I'm done with my rant.

ETA:
Awesome play!
