HP umpire called her out and Tim Walton appealed to 3B umpire for help. Maybe there is more to the bobble than you can see from the camera angle, but I would be willing to bet $1 a replay official would not have overturned the call based on the camera angle from the replay I saw.

3B blue had a similar angle as 3B Coach. Didn't the HP and 3B blue get together before the HP changed his call? There were a few differnt camera angles replayed more than a few times during the game. If they are available we can see where the ball is in the glove when she catches it and where the ball is after the tag.

I wouldn't take that $1 bet when replay officials are involved

Barnhill is a very good student and to the best of my knowledge a good citizen, so I am sure there are tons of coaches who would love to have her. She pushes the envelope on illegal pitches, but until umpires start calling her on it she has no incentive to change.

Yep, I don't think any D1 coach would mess with her mechanics if the umpires don't call IP.

During Walton's post-game interview he indicated that he appealed because he thought Ocassio avoided the tag. And he was much closer than the umpire who prompted the over ruling.

Walton who? Oh, that guy who pushes young women around, I've heard of him.

Brilliant move by Ocassio, she pushed the catchers forearm down while reaching for the plate. Any one see Ocassio let that Auburn runner walk across the plate late in the game?

Tim Walton is a master of the "good ol'boy" umpire network.
As all coaches should be!!! I've yet to see a "gift" given when a coach is being a tool bag towards the Blue...

Knight's slo mo gif of Walton and Fagens "high 5" is a very character revealing moment... disgraceful and a low point for him.
Bad blood or not, as a man, I feel like he crossed a line. She could have reacted a little classier, but in the heat of the moment, I doubt she'll catch any flack over it.

Being courteous towards umpires is one thing, getting "home field advantage" because the umpires are in your back pocket is another...the SEC could solve this problem by assigning umpires to all games between SEC opponents. The way it is now SEC schools contract their own umpires.
