Back on the dirt...
Has anyone used a repair service for their GoPro? Somehow the front LCD got cracked on mine yesterday. It's a hero 4 silver and just over 2 years old.

I know this isn't really softball related but I know many of you use these.

(Below is based on last ditch efforts after reaching out to GoPro doesn't go the way you want...which it is still possible they will respond favorably)

It technically can be DIY (I don't recommend it, but it can be done):
1.) The replacement piece is $22.50:
https://www.amazon.com/Easy-Shop-Screen-Display-Repair/dp/B0140TJI40
2.) Here is a video showing the steps it takes to complete:

(around the 41 second mark is where the repair discussion starts)

After watching the video and you come to the same conclusion that I do: "My GoPro would never work again", then I would consider ditching the idea of replacement. Now, I'm assuming you are using the HERO4 Black because it does not have the included LCD. If you have the Silver, the camera should work just fine without the front LCD. But if you do have the black, then I would look into buying the snap-on LCD, which you can pick up for less than $60:

Not a cheap solution, but would resolve your ultimate issue.
