Tournament organizers cater to the marquee organizations in order to get them to attend as a draw for college coaches, then charge all of the mid-level/small orgs inflated fees because of the number of coaches attending. They just fail to mention that the mid-level/small orgs will be relegated to obscure fields against other obscure teams...

BINGO!!!
Get this guy a beer!

It also depends on where and how the Showcases tournaments are set up.
If the Showcase tourney is set at one large complex, all of the College Coaches attending will be concentrated in one area.
ie...The 2 Mpls/St Paul PGF tournaments set up by S&C Sports. They are both set up at large complexes that can handle all of the teams in the tourney.
(And no my DDs don't play for their teams.) They just put on great Showcase tournaments)
Another PGF tournament to the South of MN, was the exact opposite.
3 complexes. 1 complex with all the "Premier" Teams (and all of the coaches) The 2 other subsidiary complexes were within 10 minutes, of the "Premier" complex, and yes there were a few coaches there, but very few if any, at most times.

Trust me, I'm happier than heck that you guys down at the Diamond 9 Showcase are seeing coaches at the outlying complexes, that's awesome! Good Luck!

My older daughter (18U) was at the main complex (12-15) all weekend and they got tons of coaches there as you would expect. At one point I would guess there were 40-50 coaches watching one of her games.

Younger DD (14U) was at Fortune Road and that place was packed with big time softball coaches all weekend. Every Big Ten team, SEC, PAC12, ACC, etc. She had about 12-15 coaches at the best-attended game of the weekend (Saturday late afternoon).

Overall, I was happy with the numbers at the remote complex. Can't speak to any of the other locations, but Fortune Road was better than I expected.

Ditto to Fortune Road. Friday was really windy - ate a lot of dust while watching games - LOL
