I was curious on what you guys thought about the insider bat. My daughter is 8 and I picked one up on Amazon hoping this will help her at the plate. Let me know your thoughts on this training aid. Thank you

Good for flipping burgers on the grill. Not so sure I give it such high marks as a teaching tool for hitting, especially for young players.

I've used one before and have one in my classroom right now. I know a very successful D-II program that uses them. Still, the trick is how you instruct a player to use them, what you believe the action of the hands are and what flaws your hitters actually have.

I have one but haven't used it in awhile. A lot of the clinics DD went to used it but mostly for one arm drills. We mostly used it for front toss in our garage after initially using it on a tee, but not feeling it was transferring over to live pitching.

I used to have one. (I sold it) I hated the feel of it.... Too light weight and didn't mimic the actual swing path due to it being super light weight.
However, when we did use it on occasion, it would be one handed drills on a knee hitting mini wiffles off a tee.

Get her a good hitting coach as soon as you can. If she learns the proper mechanics and a compact swing while she is young, one that is short to the zone and long thru it it will pay leaps and bounds.

A parent taking the time and making the effort to learn about swing mechanics to be the guide for their DD's hitting development is also a viable option.
